Better Ocean. Better You.
What we put into our food
supply is what we get out of it. At Bulletproof, it is our mission to not only provide you with the best possible food and supplements imaginable, but to ensure future generations can do the same. The ocean is a very delicate ecosystem, with each species playing a critical role in maintaining Earth’s most valuable resource. Omega Krill Complex was formulated thoughtfully, with your health and the health of the planet top-of-mind. We followed the ocean near and far to bring you this one-of-a-kind omega supplement. Our fish and krill come straight from certified sustainable fisheries who are dedicated to minimizing environmental impact by following strict guidelines that support the fish and krill population, the population of their predators, and the health of their ecosystem.
Omega-3s are considered essential fatty acids, meaning your body can’t produce enough of them on its own and you must get them from food or supplements. While it may seem logical to simply eat as much fish as you can possibly stomach, supplementing your omegas from a pure and natural source may be the most healthful solution for three key reasons:
• Contamination: Unfortunately, the time and energy Bulletproof has put into partnering with our environmentally conscious partners isn’t the norm. Due to industrial contamination of many of our oceans—the larger the fish and longer it lives—the more likely it is to be contaminated with PCBs, mercury, pesticides and more.
• Amounts: In order to get the full range of omega-3 cardiovascular and brain health benefits, clinical studies show you need to consume upwards of 1,700 milligrams of EPA and more than 900 milligrams DHA per day.4 That’s a fresh, wild-caught fish every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner—and if you’d prefer to go the route of a plain krill oil—you’d need to take a whole bunch. Or you can simply take two-servings of Omega Krill Complex per day.
• Diversity: Omega-3 sources like krill and fish roe are complementary to typical fish oil forms because they are rich in phospholipids. Phospholipid bound omega-3 DHA is more readily absorbed into brain tissue.
That is why Omega Krill Complex contains a diverse mix of 100% wild caught fish and krill—sourced straight from pure waters and sustainable fisheries—never farmed or genetically modified. This unique combination of Antarctic krill, Norwegian herring roe, and Pacific sardine, anchovy and mackerel was specifically chosen to offer an ideal balance and dose of omega-3s in phospholipid and complementary forms. Due to the pristine cold waters in which they live, in addition to their small size and short life spans, all of them have minimal risk of exposure to oceanic toxins when compared to other fish. To ensure purity and potency, it is also strictly tested by a third-party lab.
Maximizing Pure Omega-3s
Bulletproof traveled from the Fjords of Norway, to the icy waters of Antarctica in creating Omega Krill Complex™, a one-of-a-kind essential fatty acid supplement. We partnered exclusively with certified, ocean-friendly fisheries to combine the purest omega-3s with synergistic ingredients. The result is a triple-strength formula that supports your brain, heart, joints, and healthy blood pressure already in the normal range.1,2,3
The benefits in fish and krill oils come from two omega-3 powerhouses: EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). These are considered essential fatty acids because your body cannot produce them on its own, but its ability to absorb and utilize them depends on their source. The EPA and DHA in krill and herring roe differ from other fish oils because they are linked with phospholipids. Since your body absorbs different forms in different ways, giving a variety of sources ensures your body doesn’t miss the benefits. Omega Krill Complex combines omega-3 oils from krill, herring roe, sardine, anchovy and mackerel to deliver these complementary forms of EPA and DHA in clinically-supported amounts.4
In addition to the incredible benefits of EPA and DHA, there are several nutrients that can both complement and improve them. The proprietary omega-3 blend in Omega Krill Complex is enhanced with GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), natural astaxanthin and olive fruit.
GLA is also considered an essential fatty acid because our body can’t produce enough of it on its own. Our GLA comes from the most potent natural source, borage seed oil, most revered for its skin supportive actions. Astaxanthin, known as one of the most potent antioxidants in the world, neutralizes free radicals to support a range of antioxidant benefits in the brain and body. Astaxanthin is generally recommended in at least two milligrams—when compared to the same amount of just krill oil, you get eight times more astaxanthin in a single-serving of Omega Krill Complex. The final key nutrient is olive fruit, which is rich in a unique polyphenol called hydroxytyrosol. Hydroxytyrosol has been shown to help protect cells and fish oils from oxidation.
Omega Krill Complex is a highly potent, pure, sustainable way to support your whole-body health. And, in case you were concerned about fishy flavor, we added oil from fresh California lemons for a citrus-y taste.

Q: Why herring roe oil? What is it?
A: Fish roe (fish eggs) oil is commonly referred to as the caviar of fish oil because it is packed with powerful nutrients meant to cultivate new life—including high natural levels of phospholipid-bound DHA in a 3-to-1 DHA-to-EPA ratio. More importantly, the spring-spawning herring used are already being wild caught by a certified and sustainable fishery, meaning the harvesting doesn’t require additional fishing or impact on their ecosystem.
Q: Are the fish sources certified sustainable?
A: All of the fisheries we’ve partnered with for Omega Krill Complex are certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) or Friend of the Sea to ensure they exceed international sustainability and purity standards.
Q: Is Omega Krill Complex pure and free from contaminants?
A: Yes. In addition to meticulously selecting fisheries who exceed international standards in both sustainability and purity standards, Omega Krill Complex is third-party lab tested to ensure both purity and potency.
Q: What is GLA? Why GLA from Borage seed?
A: Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is an essential fatty acid that’s hard to get from food alone, and supports healthy skin and immune function. Borage seed is the highest natural source of GLA, containing 20-26%. Blackcurrant contains 15-18% GLA and evening primrose just 8-12%.
Q: What is hydroxytyrosol from olive fruit?
A: Hydroxytyrosol is the naturally occurring polyphenol in olive fruit responsible for olive oil’s amazing cardiovascular support. When combined with fish oil and omega-3s, hydroxytyrosol can help protect them from oxidation.
Q: How is the olive fruit processed?
A: As a part of olive oil production, the olive fruit goes through a solvent-free natural extraction process of olive polyphenols to standardize the hydroxytyrosol.
Q: What are the sources of the wild fish oil concentrate?
A: Small cold-water sardine, anchovy and mackerel were specially selected due to their high omega-3 content and low potential for contamination due to their small size and relatively short lifespan. They are wild caught by a certified sustainable fishery deep in the Pacific Ocean, far from environmental contamination.
Q: What is the source of the lemon oil?
A: California lemons.
Q: Is there anything I can do to reduce the fishy burps I get when I take fish and krill oils?
A: Some people may experience the taste of fish if they burp after taking krill and fish oil supplements. This is because the valuable fatty acids begin their digestive journey in the stomach. To mitigate this experience, some people may choose to refrigerate (or even freeze) their bottle and/or take along with a diverse, flavorful meal.

Q: Is the krill cold-pressed?
Q: Does Omega Krill Complex contain gluten, wheat or soy?
