Turmeric+ with Ginger and Black Pepper
Each bottle of Organic Turmeric+ contains 120 capsules with: 607mg turmeric, 50mg ginger, 3mg black pepper for enhanced absorption and bioavailability.
Combines well with Primal Collective Omega 3 EPA/DHA. Taking turmeric along with an omega-3 supplement may enhance antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, aiding in the repair of damage caused by physical activity, due to the bioactive compounds in turmeric acting as antioxidants and the anti-inflammatory agents in omega-3s (Faustino et al., 2023).

100% Australian Certified Organic
Our organic turmeric vegan capsules contain 100% Australian certified organic turmeric powder. This means no chemicals were used in any process of harvesting or growing of the turmeric herb.
Furthermore, unlike other powdered herbs, organic herbs are not irradiated before entering the country. Irradiation is yet another way the vitality of our food is compromised. The capsules protect the turmeric from mycotoxin contamination meaning they are kept safer from exposure and will have a longer shelf-life.
Why This Turmeric Is Different
Turmeric Works Better Than Curcumin Alone
Curcumin as an extract has poor bioavailability. The turmerones contained within the whole spice, turmeric, have been shown to increase absorption of curcumin. [Source]
Eco-biological treatments with plant-derived substances or phytochemicals (e.g. curcumin and resveratrol) and pre-, pro- and syn-biotics may offer similar effects to use of biologicals, although milder but also free from adverse effects. Such treatments should be tried as alternative therapies; mainly, to begin with, for disease prevention but also in early cases of chronic diseases. “Let food be thy medicine.”
— Hippocrates
For your food to be an effective medicine, it shouldn’t contain chemicals or toxins that cause harm to the cells in your body. Since our organic turmeric capsules contain no chemicals and are simply pure, ground, organically grown turmeric, you know you are getting the very best.
The whole food may be better than just the extract: turmeric (including curcumin and turmerones), rather than curcumin alone has shown promising results for treating diseases. [Source]
Why Organic?
Plants, much like us, are biological living beings. Just as we can become weakened and lose our vitality when exposed to chemicals and radiation, plants too lose their ability to fight disease and infection.
In the same way chemicals build up in our system, toxic chemicals are also found in conventionally farmed foods. These chemicals eventually end up in our bodies and can cause serious damage.
Processed or non-organically grown herbs and spices have likely been stripped of their most active ingredients. Turmeric supports healthy joints, promotes a radiant complexion and aids digestion.
A Potent Anti-Angiogenic Food
Turmeric ranks among the most powerful anti-angiogenic foods studied. The chart below, presented in William Li’s TED Talk, shows how turmeric compares to common drugs and other dietary factors:

Why Turmeric?
Studies show well over 300 active ingredients in turmeric that have powerful effects in the body. Organic turmeric is a potent herb with a vast number of health benefits. In fact, turmeric has been shown to be so healing in so many ways to the body, it is considered to be the greatest of all herbs by some practitioners.
Turmeric is well researched. Here are some scientifically backed claims that are relevant to our well-being:
Makes Meat Safer
Kansas State University researchers discovered that adding turmeric to meat can reduce the levels of heterocyclic amines (HCAs) by up to 40 percent. HCAs form on chicken and meat when cooked over high heat, like in grilling. Consumption of HCAs is not recommended.
Protects Your Liver
According to early experimental research at the Medical University Graz in Austria, the curcumin in turmeric may delay liver damage that can eventually lead to cirrhosis.
Enrich Your Cooking
While Frito-Lay may rely on Yellow 6 and Red 40 to enhance its preternaturally vivid snacks like Cheetos and Nacho Cheese Doritos, you can skip the nasty artificial colours and add a dash of turmeric to brighten up otherwise insipid-looking food. Whimsical cooks and parents alike can benefit from adding it to eggs, mashed potatoes, soups, cauliflower, or anywhere else a bit of vibrancy is desired.
May Help You Live Longer
Dr. Andrew Weil notes that people in Okinawa, the Japanese island nation with the world’s longest average life span, drink turmeric tea daily. To make your own, boil four cups of water, add one teaspoon of ground turmeric, allow to simmer for 10 minutes, strain, and add ginger and/or honey to taste.
Anti-Ageing
May protect the heart from ageing as much as moderate aerobic exercise. [Source]
An Anti-Bacterial
Curcumin has been shown to have a synergistic antibacterial effect against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The study showed that a combined CCM and OXI treatment reduced the bacterial counts below the lowest detectable limit after 24h. This study suggested that CCM reduced the MICs of several antibiotics tested and that CCM in combination with antibiotics could lead to the development of new combination of antibiotics against MRSA infection. First demonstrated to have antibacterial activity in 1949, curcumin has since been shown to have anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, pro-apoptotic, chemopreventive, chemotherapeutic, antiproliferative, wound healing, antinociceptive, antiparasitic and antimalarial properties as well. [Source]
An Anti-Fungal
In the study ‘Inhibitory effect of the essential oil of Curcuma longa L. and curcumin on aflatoxin production by Aspergillus flavus Link.’ All doses of the essential oil of the plant and the curcumin standard interfered with mycotoxin production. Both the essential oil and curcumin significantly inhibited the production of aflatoxins. [Source]

| Capsule Type | Vegetable cellulose, non-enteric |

Why a non-enteric coating?
The only reason an enteric coating would be necessary is if you want the capsule to open further down the digestive system. With turmeric, unless you’re trying so specifically to treat some issue further down the small intestine or large intestine, then you want it to empty in the stomach so that it will be digested and absorbed properly. Turmeric will also stimulate the digestive juices, specifically bile.
Directions for Use
Take 2 capsules with each meal, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
Recipe Idea: Jamu
Make Jamu, a traditional Indonesian herbal preparation. The simple version includes turmeric, black pepper and coconut water. Variations exist that include ginger or tamarind, depending on the desired flavour profile.
