BiOptimizers kApex® — Plant-Based Enzyme Formula for Higher-Fat Diets

A plant-based capsule supplement combining digestive enzymes, herbal extracts and nutrient cofactors. Formulated for those following ketogenic, low-carb or paleo eating patterns where meals are higher in fats and proteins. Vegan, soy-free and free from artificial fillers.

Digestive Enzymes

Proteases are enzymes that break down dietary proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids. kApex uses BiOptimizers’ proprietary Tri-PHase Protease blend — three protease enzymes (Protease 6.0, 4.5 and 3.0) chosen for activity across different pH environments in the digestive tract. Total protease activity is 230,283 HUT per serving.

Lipases are enzymes that break down dietary fats. kApex uses Lipa4 — four fungal-source lipase enzymes (sourced from Japan, China, Mucor javanicus and Aspergillus niger) that work across varying pH levels. Total lipase activity is 4,900 FIP per serving.

L-Carnitine and CoQ10

L-Carnitine is an amino acid derivative produced naturally by the body and concentrated in muscle tissue. Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), supplied here as ubiquinone, is a compound also produced naturally by the body and present in cellular mitochondria.

Betaine HCl

Betaine hydrochloride is a compound included in many digestive support formulations. It provides a source of dietary betaine alongside chloride.

Herbal & Botanical Extracts

Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale) is a traditional herb used in many digestive and herbal formulations.

AstraZyme™ is a proprietary blend combining plant-based enzymes with extracts of astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) and notoginseng (Panax notoginseng) — two herbs with long-standing roles in Traditional Chinese Medicine, alongside trace minerals.

InnoSlim® is a proprietary herbal blend featuring panax notoginseng and astragalus extracts standardised to specific compounds.

Directions for Use

Take 2 capsules with breakfast, and optionally a further 2 capsules with lunch. Refer to the product label for full dosing guidance.

Important: Do not take kApex after 5pm. The formula contains energising ingredients that may interfere with sleep if taken later in the day.

Refrigerate after opening. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

Existing stomach conditions

Do not use kApex if you have a stomach ulcer or active gastritis. The formula contains betaine HCl, which is acidic. Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use if you have any existing digestive condition.

For competitive athletes

kApex contains ingredients that appear on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list. This product is not suitable for professional or competitive athletes subject to anti-doping testing.

Why morning use?

The botanical and trace mineral blend in kApex is intended to be taken earlier in the day. Many users find taking it after 5pm interferes with sleep, so morning and lunchtime dosing is the standard recommendation.
