Pendulum GLP-1 Probiotic

NATURALLY CURBS CRAVINGS

This multi-strain probiotic is formulated with beneficial bacteria that naturally increase GLP-1,* the “un-hunger” hormone that helps curb cravings & appetite.

With postbiotic promoting Akkermansia, Clostridium Butyricum and Bifidobacterium infantis

  • GLP-1 is essential for appetite regulation

Your gut naturally produces GLP-1, the “un-hunger” hormone that plays multiple roles in metabolic health. Unfortunately, GLP-1 can decrease with age and lifestyle.

Now you’ve got the power to boost this powerful hormone* with our targeted, science-backed strains that help you produce more GLP-1 naturally.

    GLP-1 Probiotic

    • 91% reported reduced overall food cravings†
    • Helps maintain a healthy weight
    • Enhances natural GLP-1 production

    How we're different

GLP-1 Probiotic naturally boosts GLP-1 production.* It does not contain GLP-1 and is not a GLP-1 agonist drug.

    How GLP-1 hormone works

    1. As you eat, metabolic processes are triggered in your body
    2. In the gut microbiome, the beneficial bacteria - such as Akkermansia and Butyricum - convert the fiber in your food into butyrate, and Akkermansia secretes a protein called p9
    3. Butyrate and p9 stimulate GLP-1, the hormone that tells your pancreas to produce insulin, slowing down the emptying of your stomach
    4. This sends a signal to your brain that you're full, reducing your appetite, helping to maintain a healthy weight

GLP-1 Probiotic is formulated with bacterial strains that boost this process naturally.*

    *Based on preclinical studies
†Based on a consumer survey of 274 people

  • It’s what’s inside that counts

GLP-1 Probiotic is formulated with the beneficial bacterial strains that help you produce more GLP-1.*

    Akkermansia muciniphila
Generates the postbiotics propionate and p9 which induce GLP-1 production.

    Clostridium butyricum
Produces the postbiotic butyrate which stimulates GLP-1.

    Bifidobacterium infantis
Produces the postbiotics acetate and lactate which feed bacteria such as Akkermansia and Butyricum, promoting an ecosystem in the gut that supports a healthy gut lining and naturally boosts GLP-1.

Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose (vegetarian capsule), silica

    Directions:
    Adults take 1 capsule daily.
Refrigerate after opening for optimal quality.

    *Based on preclinical studies

  • Are there studies that show that GLP-1 can help maintain a healthy weight?
Yes, GLP-1 has been shown to play an important role in metabolic homeostasis and healthy weight regulation. Akkermansia muciniphila and microbial strains that produce butyrate such as Clostridium butyricum can augment GLP-1 production through natural stimulation of the L-cells.

For a scientific overview of the microbiome, the difference between GLP-1 agonist drugs and microbial approaches to regulating GLP-1, and the role GLP-1 plays in helping to maintain a healthy weight, please refer to the white paper: Harnessing GLP-1 in the digestive tract for better metabolic health. Or click here for PubMed publications on GLP-1.

What clinical studies have been done on GLP-1 Probiotic?
In a consumer study of 274 people taking GLP-1 Probiotic for 6 weeks, 91% reported reduced food cravings. Based on promising findings from this initial consumer study, Pendulum is planning additional clinical trials to further our scientific understanding.

Why did you decide to create a GLP-1 supplement?
At Pendulum, customers are at the center of everything we do. We recognized there was a need for a natural solution to address cravings and appetite control, and our consumers studies and published research show that the beneficial bacteria strains used by Pendulum are particularly effective in this area.

How does GLP-1 Probiotic compare to other Pendulum products, and which one is right for me?
GLP-1 Probiotic is formulated with 3 precise strains (Clostridium butyricum, Akkermansia muciniphila, and Bifidobacterium infantis) that specifically target mechanisms needed to upregulate the GLP-1 pathway.

While there is some ingredient overlap in our products, the unique combinations and precise quantities of strains in each probiotic have been specifically formulated to address specific needs.

For example, GLP-1 Probiotic and Akkermansia have the same amount of Akkermansia muciniphila. However, GLP-1 Probiotic is also formulated with Clostridium butyricum and Bifidobacterium infantis which contribute to the production of butyrate. Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila have both been shown to stimulate L-cells to release GLP-1.

Which probiotic is right for you depends on your goals.
If you’re trying to curb cravings → GLP-1 Probiotic
If you’re trying to improve how your body metabolizes sugars and carbs → Metabolic Daily
If you have type 2 diabetes and are trying to lower your A1C and blood glucose spikes → Glucose Control
If you’re trying to improve your gut health → Akkermansia

    Is GLP-1 Probiotic safe?

If you have specific health conditions that make maintaining a healthy weight more difficult, we recommend working with your healthcare provider to answer any medical questions.
