Bulletproof Liposomal Glutathione
A vegetable capsule supplement containing 500mg of reduced (active) glutathione per capsule, formulated with sunflower lecithin as the phospholipid carrier. The flavourless capsule format encapsulates the glutathione for oral delivery. Soy-free (uses sunflower lecithin, not soy lecithin). 30 capsules per bottle.
What It Is
Bulletproof Liposomal Glutathione is a capsule-format supplement supplying 500mg of reduced glutathione per capsule (the active form), formulated with sunflower lecithin as the phospholipid carrier. Each capsule is a vegetable (hypromellose) capsule shell.
The product is designed for adult once-daily use as part of a regular supplement routine.
Product Highlights
About Glutathione
Glutathione is a tripeptide composed of three amino acids: glutamic acid (glutamate), cysteine, and glycine. It is produced naturally by the body and is one of the most abundant intracellular molecules.
Glutathione exists in two forms in the body:
- Reduced glutathione (GSH) — the active form
- Oxidised glutathione (GSSG) — the inactive form
This supplement supplies reduced glutathione (GSH) — the active form.
Dietary sources of glutathione (and its precursor amino acids) include foods such as asparagus, avocado, spinach, okra, broccoli, and certain meats and fish. The body also produces glutathione endogenously from precursor amino acids supplied through diet.
What “Liposomal” Means
A liposome is a tiny spherical structure formed from phospholipids — the same kind of fat-based molecules that make up the membranes of human cells. In a liposomal supplement, the active ingredients are encapsulated within these phospholipid spheres.
Glutathione is generally poorly absorbed in standard oral supplement formats because the digestive process breaks down the tripeptide structure before it can be utilised. Liposomal formulations of glutathione are designed to protect the molecule during digestion.
The phospholipid carrier in this formula is derived from sunflower lecithin (not soy lecithin), making it suitable for those avoiding soy.

Good to Know
What does it taste like?
The capsule format is flavourless. Some other oral glutathione supplements (liquid or sublingual formats) can have a distinct sulphur taste — the capsule format avoids this entirely.
Why is liposomal delivery used for glutathione?
Glutathione is a tripeptide that is broken down by the digestive process in standard oral supplement formats. Liposomal formulations encapsulate the glutathione within phospholipid spheres designed to protect the molecule during digestion.
Reduced vs oxidised glutathione — what’s the difference?
Reduced glutathione (GSH) is the active form — this is the form your body uses. Oxidised glutathione (GSSG) is the inactive form, produced after glutathione has been used. The body cycles between these two forms. Supplements supplying reduced glutathione provide the active form directly.
