Fat-Soluble Vitamin Softgels · 5-in-1 A-D-K Formulation · 30 Softgels
Bulletproof Vitamins A-D-K
A softgel supplement combining the fat-soluble vitamins A, D3, K1 and K2 (both MK-4 and MK-7) in a single daily formula. Delivered in a Brain Octane® oil (C8 MCT) softgel base for fat-soluble vitamin delivery. One softgel daily. Soy-free. 30 softgels per bottle.
What It Is
Bulletproof Vitamins A-D-K is a once-daily softgel supplement supplying five distinct fat-soluble vitamin compounds per serving:
- Vitamin A as retinyl palmitate — 900 mcg
- Vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol — 5,000 IU (125 mcg)
- Vitamin K1 as phylloquinone — 1,000 mcg
- Vitamin K2 as MK-4 (menaquinone-4) — 1,500 mcg
- Vitamin K2 as MK-7 (menaquinone-7) — 300 mcg
All four vitamins are fat-soluble, meaning they dissolve in fats and oils and are absorbed alongside dietary fat. The softgel uses a Brain Octane® oil (caprylic acid triglyceride from coconut) base to deliver the fat-soluble vitamins.

About the Vitamin Forms
Each vitamin can exist in multiple chemical forms. This formula uses the following specific forms:
Vitamin A (Retinol from Retinyl Palmitate)
Vitamin A can be obtained from two distinct sources:
- Preformed vitamin A (retinol) — found naturally in animal-derived foods (liver, eggs, dairy)
- Provitamin A carotenoids (e.g., beta-carotene) — found in plant foods (carrots, leafy greens); must be converted by the body into retinol
This formula uses retinyl palmitate, which the body converts into retinol — the active form. Retinol bioavailability from retinyl palmitate is substantially higher than from beta-carotene, which has variable conversion efficiency depending on individual genetics and dietary factors.
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)
There are two main supplemental forms of vitamin D:
- D3 (cholecalciferol) — the same form produced by the body when skin is exposed to UV-B sunlight
- D2 (ergocalciferol) — a plant/fungal-derived form that requires additional metabolic conversion
This formula uses D3 (cholecalciferol), which is generally the preferred form for supplementation.
Vitamin K (K1 + K2 in two forms)
Vitamin K exists in several distinct forms with different chemical properties and metabolic pathways:
- K1 (phylloquinone) — found primarily in leafy green vegetables; the most common form available from food
- K2 as MK-4 (menaquinone-4) — a short-chain menaquinone; shorter half-life in circulation
- K2 as MK-7 (menaquinone-7) — a long-chain menaquinone; longer half-life in circulation (up to 48 hours)
This formula supplies all three forms — K1, MK-4, and MK-7 — recognising that each is utilised by the body differently.
Why a Brain Octane® Oil Softgel?
Vitamins A, D and K are fat-soluble — meaning they dissolve in fats and oils, and are absorbed alongside dietary fat in the digestive tract. Taking fat-soluble vitamins without a fat source can reduce their bioavailability.
Bulletproof’s formulation uses Brain Octane® oil (caprylic acid triglyceride from coconut) as the softgel base. This provides a clean fat carrier for the fat-soluble vitamins. Taking the softgel with a fat-containing meal further supports absorption.

Directions for Use

Refer to the product label for full guidance. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Good to Know
Why does the bottle have a child-resistant cap?
Vitamins A, D and K are fat-soluble and can accumulate in the body if taken in excess. The upper intake limits are particularly important for children. As a precaution, the bottle uses a child-resistant cap. Always keep out of reach of children.
Are any of the vitamins derived from soy?
No. This product is soy-free.
Is it vegetarian or vegan?
No. The softgel shell is made from gelatine, which is an animal-derived ingredient. This product is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
What is annatto used for?
Annatto is a natural red-orange pigment extracted from the seeds of the achiote tree (native to Central and South America). It is used in this formula for colour uniformity, since the natural colour of the vitamin mix can vary between batches. Annatto has a long history of use as a food colouring.
What is the relationship between mcg and IU for vitamin A?
Vitamin A is now declared as micrograms (mcg) of Retinol Activity Equivalents (RAE) instead of International Units (IU). One IU of retinol equals 0.3 mcg RAE. The 900 mcg of vitamin A in this product is equivalent to approximately 3,000 IU of retinol.
Why all three forms of vitamin K?
Each form of vitamin K (K1, MK-4, MK-7) is processed by the body differently. K1 is the form most commonly available from food, but is often poorly absorbed because it is bound to plant fibre in leafy green vegetables. MK-4 and MK-7 are different chain-length menaquinones with different half-lives in circulation. Combining all three provides a range of vitamin K forms in a single formula.
Important Information
Adult use only. Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D and K) can accumulate in the body if taken in excess. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake of one softgel. Do not combine with other vitamin A, D or K supplements without consulting a healthcare practitioner.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if taking blood-thinning medications (vitamin K can interact with anticoagulants such as warfarin). If pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescription medication, or have any medical condition, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use.
This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
