Whole turmeric root vs isolated curcumin extract — what’s the difference?

Many turmeric supplements use isolated curcumin extract (typically 95% curcuminoids) rather than whole turmeric root. Whole turmeric contains curcuminoids alongside other compounds present in the root, including turmerones. This formula uses the whole root complex, providing a broader compound profile than isolated curcumin alone.

Does it have a strong turmeric or ginger taste?

No. The softgel format minimises any turmeric or ginger taste — the active ingredients are encapsulated in the softgel rather than mixed with food or drinks.

Will it stain my fingers or clothing?

No. Unlike loose turmeric powder (which can stain), the softgel format keeps the active ingredients contained within the capsule until they reach the digestive system.
