About PerfectAmino
PerfectAmino is BodyHealth’s proprietary blend of essential amino acids — the amino acids that cannot be synthesised by the human body and must be obtained from food or supplementation. The blend was formulated by Dr David Minkoff in proportions intended to provide the amino acid building blocks the body uses to synthesise its own proteins.
The essential amino acids in the blend are:

Free-Form Amino Acid Absorption
Unlike protein from food sources (where amino acids are bound up in larger protein structures that require digestion before being absorbed), free-form amino acids are presented to the body in their already-broken-down form. This typically allows for faster absorption than whole food protein sources.
BodyHealth’s research on PerfectAmino indicates that the blend is absorbed within an average of 23–30 minutes from ingestion, with high utilisation rates. Directions for Use
Mix 1 scoop with 250–500mL of water (or other beverage of choice). Stir or shake until dissolved. Consume soon after mixing.
Around training: May be consumed approximately 30 minutes before training, during a training session, or afterwards as part of routine amino acid intake.
Daily intake guidance: Refer to the product label for daily intake recommendations. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Note: The manufacturer recommends taking PerfectAmino with fruits, vegetables, or grains rather than with fats or proteins. If consuming additional fats or proteins, wait at least 30 minutes after taking PerfectAmino.

Are the amino acids from animal or vegetable source?
The amino acids in PerfectAmino are derived from plant-based sources (beans and peas) processed through a fermentation culture. Individual amino acids are then extracted from the fermentation broth using centrifugal separation. The final product is pure, pharmaceutical-grade, crystalline amino acids with no plant residues, no sugars, no yeast, no gluten, no soy, no corn, no wheat, no rice, no preservatives, no excipients, and no animal products. Suitable for vegan diets.
Which flavour should I choose?
All flavoured variants share the same amino acid blend; the choice is purely flavour preference. Strawberry and Mixed Berry are the most popular based on customer feedback. Mocha contains 20mg of natural caffeine from green tea — if you’re sensitive to caffeine or consuming this in the evening, choose another flavour. The Unflavoured & Unsweetened variant is the cleanest option for users following strict no-sweetener protocols or who want to add the powder to other beverages.
Does this break a fast?
The product contains approximately 2 calories per serve with no carbohydrates or sugar. How is this different from BCAAs?
Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) contain only three amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, and valine. PerfectAmino contains all the essential amino acids in proportions designed for protein synthesis. The body requires all the essential amino acids — not just the three branched-chain ones — to build proteins.
Does this product interact with any medications?
BodyHealth states that PerfectAmino does not have known drug or food interactions. However, if you take prescription medication or have a medical condition, consult your healthcare practitioner before use. People taking medications affecting protein metabolism, kidney function, or amino acid balance should be particularly cautious.
Can I take this alongside whole-food protein?
