Bulletproof Express 3-IN-1 Probiotic

A capsule supplement combining three categories of gut-related ingredients: tributyrin (a postbiotic), a bacteriophage blend (positioned as prebiotic), and Bifidobacterium lactis Bl-04 (a probiotic strain).

90 capsules per bottle · 30 servings of 3 capsules each · Shelf-stable (no refrigeration required).

About the Formula

The “3-IN-1” in the product name refers to the inclusion of three different categories of gut-related ingredients in a single capsule supplement:

  • Probiotic — live microorganisms (in this product, Bifidobacterium lactis Bl-04)
  • Prebiotic — substances that selectively affect gut bacteria populations (in this product, a bacteriophage blend)
  • Postbiotic — substances produced by gut bacteria, or compounds with similar properties (in this product, tributyrin, a butyrate-yielding triglyceride)

Each capsule serving contains all three components together rather than requiring separate probiotic, prebiotic, and postbiotic products.

Ingredient 1: Tributyrin (CoreBiome®)

Tributyrin is a triglyceride composed of three molecules of butyric acid attached to a glycerol backbone. It’s found naturally in dairy fat — notably, it’s one of the compounds responsible for the characteristic flavour of butter.

When consumed, tributyrin is broken down by digestive enzymes (lipases), releasing butyric acid — a short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) that is also produced naturally by certain bacteria in the human gut.

CoreBiome® is a branded form of tributyrin developed by Compound Solutions, Inc. This product contains 1 gram of CoreBiome® (standardised to 30% tributyrin) per serving.

Ingredient 2: Bacteriophage Blend (PreforPro®)

Bacteriophages (often shortened to “phages”) are viruses that infect bacteria. They are the most abundant biological entities on Earth, with an estimated 1031 phages in the global biosphere. Importantly, bacteriophages do not infect human cells — each phage has narrow specificity for particular bacterial species.

Bacteriophages are naturally present in the human gut microbiome and throughout the environment (in soil, water, and on food surfaces). Food-grade bacteriophage preparations are increasingly used in some food and supplement applications.

PreforPro® is a branded blend of food-grade bacteriophages developed by Deerland Probiotics & Enzymes. This product contains 15 mg of PreforPro® per serving.

Ingredient 3: Bifidobacterium lactis Bl-04

Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (commonly referred to as B. lactis) is a species of probiotic bacteria found naturally in the human gut. It’s one of the most extensively studied probiotic species in food supplement use.

Bl-04 is a specific commercial strain of B. lactis. Bacterial strains are individually characterised and identified — different strains within the same species can have different properties.

This product provides 1 Billion CFU (colony-forming units) of Bl-04 per serving. The Bl-04 used in this product is shelf-stable, meaning it does not require refrigeration to maintain viability.

Good to Know

What does “3-IN-1” mean here?

The product combines three categories of gut-related ingredients in one capsule serving: a probiotic (live bacteria), a prebiotic (bacteriophage blend), and a postbiotic (tributyrin, a butyrate-yielding compound). Many gut supplements contain only one of these categories — this product contains all three.

Do bacteriophages affect human cells?

No. Bacteriophages are viruses that infect bacteria only — they cannot infect human cells, animal cells, or plant cells. Each bacteriophage type has narrow specificity for particular bacterial species. Bacteriophages are naturally present in the human gut and throughout the environment.

What does “CFU” mean?

CFU stands for “colony-forming units” — the standard measure of viable bacteria in a probiotic product. 1 Billion CFU means there are approximately 1 billion live bacterial cells per serving capable of forming colonies if cultured. This is a moderate dose for a single-strain probiotic.

Does this product require refrigeration?

No. The Bl-04 strain in this product is shelf-stable at room temperature, unlike some probiotic strains that require refrigeration to maintain viability. Store in a cool, dry place.

Is this product vegan?

The capsule is vegetable cellulose. The other ingredients (tributyrin, bacteriophages, probiotic) are produced through fermentation or microbiological culture rather than from animal sources. Refer to the bottle label for definitive dietary suitability information.
