About Nattokinase
Nattokinase is an enzyme produced during the fermentation of soybeans by the bacterium Bacillus subtilis var. natto. It is the enzyme that gives natto — a traditional Japanese fermented soybean food — its characteristic stringy, sticky texture.
Natto itself has been consumed as a food in Japan for over a thousand years, traditionally eaten with breakfast rice. Nattokinase as an isolated, concentrated supplement ingredient was first identified by Japanese researchers in the 1980s.
Nattokinase potency is measured in FU (fibrinolytic units). This product supplies 2,000 FU per capsule.
About the FU Measurement
FU stands for “fibrinolytic units” — an industry-standard measure of nattokinase enzyme activity, established by the Japan Nattokinase Association (JNKA). The FU value indicates the enzyme’s biological activity. Nattokinase supplements vary widely in FU content per capsule. This product supplies 2,000 FU per single-capsule serving.

Directions for Use
Take 1 capsule up to twice daily, 30 minutes before or 2 hours after food, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
