What You Lose When You Sweat

Directions for Use

Mix 1 or 2 scoops with 250–500mL of water. Stir or shake until dissolved. Consume during, before, or after exercise.

Around training: Mix in a shaker or water bottle and consume during the session for sustained electrolyte intake.

Before training: Consume 15–30 minutes before starting your session.

After training: Consume within the hour after finishing for post-session electrolyte replacement.

Does this break a fast?

The product contains no carbohydrates and no sugar. Some flavoured variants contain natural flavourings and trace amounts of sweetener, but calorie load is negligible. The Unflavoured & Unsweetened variant is the cleanest option for strict fasting.

How does this compare to other electrolyte drinks?

Most sports-drink electrolyte products rely on a sodium-potassium-magnesium base plus added carbohydrates (sugar, dextrose, or maltodextrin) for energy. PerfectAmino Electrolytes uses the same electrolyte base but substitutes carbohydrates with essential amino acids (2g per serve) — aimed at users who want amino acids without the carbohydrate load.

Can I use this if I’m not exercising?

The product is formulated as a Sports Food intended for use in conjunction with physical training. Outside that context, the electrolyte content (particularly sodium) may not be appropriate as a daily supplement. Use as directed in an exercise context.

Why is the sodium content high?

At 300mg per serve, the sodium content is comparable to other sports electrolyte drinks. Sodium is the primary electrolyte lost in sweat, so sports-formulated electrolyte drinks deliberately contain meaningful sodium amounts. Before and after gym

Hi,
I take this product about a half hour before I go to the gym AND again as soon as I leave the gym. I train pretty hard so it helps me not feel drained after the gym

Best electrolytes ever

My sons and I love this electrolyte product. Great taste and great ingredients. The powder (rather than sachets) mean we can choose how much to put in, for a glass a bottle or whatever. I freeze them into ice blocks for my teenage son after sport.

Hydration, but Smarter

I’ve tried plenty of electrolytes, but this one genuinely stands out. It goes beyond hydration — the added amino acids make a noticeable difference in recovery and overall energy.

No artificial sweeteners

This product works really well, I love the no artificial sweeteners. It is a little bit difficult to fully mix into water and does take a lot of stirring, but a small downside to an otherwise great product

For an electrolyte supplement the taste was pretty decent. Flavour did taste like the name which is good. I haven't tried it consistently enough through fasting periods for a 5 star review however on the day I did take it when I was feeling a little weak through an extended fast it did seem to help!

For hard daily trainers I reckon an electrolyte supplement is about as essential as a supplement gets. This Perfect Amino product is the best I’ve used with the added bonus of 2gm of Aminos in every serve. As usual great service from OptimOz too!

This stuff is amazing

I’m a triathlete but even when I’m not training I have a scoop of this everyday, I live in a very hot climate so super important to keep up with hydration. I recently completed my first marathon and this was the only hydration I had throughout the entire race and I didn’t have any cramps or any issues with dehydration despite the heat! Would highly recommend, also this is great if you are feeling off or coming down with an illness helps to perk you up and make you feel better!
