Stevia Reb M (Rebaudioside M)

A specific glycoside extracted from the stevia leaf. Stevia leaves contain multiple glycosides, of which Reb M is the rarest (only about 0.1% of the leaf). Reb M has a cleaner sweetness profile than the more common Reb A. This product uses Reb M with no erythritol or other bulking agents added.

Monk Fruit (Luo Han Guo)

Extracted from the monk fruit (Siraitia grosvenorii), a small green melon native to southern China. The mogrosides in monk fruit are naturally about 250 times sweeter than sugar. This product uses pure monk fruit extract without added erythritol (a common addition in cheaper "monk fruit" sweeteners).

Katemfe Fruit (Thaumatococcus daniellii) Extract

A West African fruit containing thaumatin, a naturally sweet protein. Used here as a flavour synergist (it rounds out the sweetness profile of the stevia and monk fruit). Significantly more expensive than the other natural sweeteners, which is why most products don’t include it.

Directions for Use

Mix 1 scoop into approximately 180–240 mL (6–8 oz) of water and stir until fully dissolved. You’ll see a brief fizz as the carbonate and citric acid react.

Take once daily, at a time that suits you (morning, afternoon, or evening).

Refer to the product label for full directions. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

Why does the powder fizz when I add water?

That’s the magnesium carbonate reacting with the citric acid. The fizz is CO₂ (carbon dioxide) gas, the same gas in sparkling water. The reaction converts the magnesium carbonate into magnesium citrate, which is what you actually drink. The fizz is brief and the drink itself isn’t carbonated when fully dissolved.

When’s the best time to take it?

Any time of day. Some people prefer evenings (the magnesium-and-warm-drink combination is part of many wind-down routines). Others take it in the morning. Either works.

What about the PerfectAmino® blend?

The 25 mg PerfectAmino blend is a small inclusion of BodyHealth’s branded essential amino acid formulation. The standalone PerfectAmino product contains the full functional dose (2,500 mg per serve); the inclusion in Body Calm is at a much lower level.

Is it safe to mix with other supplements?

In general yes, but be cautious about combining with other magnesium supplements. The 325 mg per serve is close to the AU supplemental UL of 350 mg/day. Magnesium from other sources adds to this. If you’re already taking magnesium in another product, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before adding this.

Is the natural flavour really natural?

The product uses three natural sweeteners (stevia Reb M, monk fruit, katemfe fruit) without erythritol or hidden artificial sweeteners. The "natural flavors" entry on the supplement facts panel refers to the berry lemon flavouring system.
