Soluble Fibre Drink Powder · 10g Fibre per Stick · Unflavoured

The Clear Jar 2.5X Potent Fiber

A soluble fibre drink supplement in single-serve stick packs. Each stick provides 10g of dietary fibre from tapioca resistant dextrin — tasteless, instant-mixing, and easy to add to any beverage. Vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO.

What It Is

2.5X Potent Fiber is a single-ingredient fibre supplement: tapioca resistant dextrin in a tasteless, water-soluble powder. Each stick pack contains 10g of soluble dietary fibre.

Most fibre supplement powders contain only 3–4g of fibre per serve. At 10g per stick, this product provides approximately 2.5× the fibre content of typical fibre powders — hence the “2.5X Potent” product name.

10g of fibre represents around 33–40% of the Australian Recommended Dietary Intake (RDI) for adults (25g/day for women, 30g/day for men). Take two sticks daily and you’ve covered most of your daily fibre target.

Product Highlights

10g of soluble dietary fibre per stick – significantly higher than typical fibre powders
High in fibre – meets the FSANZ “source of fibre” threshold (4g+) and the “high fibre” threshold (7g+) per serve
Tasteless & instant-mixing – dissolves cleanly into water, juice, coffee, tea or smoothies
Single-serve stick packs – convenient for travel, work and on-the-go use
Single ingredient – just tapioca resistant dextrin, with no fillers, additives or sweeteners
Diet-friendly – vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO; third-party tested for purity

Why Fibre Matters

Most Australian adults don’t consume enough dietary fibre. The Australian RDI for fibre is 30g per day for men and 25g per day for women — but national nutrition surveys consistently show average intakes well below these levels.

Dietary fibre is recognised by FSANZ for the following:

Dietary fibre contributes to normal bowel function
Soluble fibre ferments in the large intestine and serves as a substrate for beneficial gut bacteria

About Tapioca Resistant Dextrin

Tapioca resistant dextrin is a soluble dietary fibre derived from tapioca (cassava root). The “resistant” refers to its property of resisting digestion in the small intestine — it passes through to the large intestine largely intact, where it acts as a soluble fibre.

It belongs to a class of soluble fibres that are well-tolerated by most people, with a smoother profile than gritty or bulky fibre supplements like psyllium husk or wheat bran.

Because it is fully soluble, tapioca resistant dextrin dissolves clear in water and other beverages — no grittiness, no thickening, no flavour change.

Directions for Use

Empty 1 stick pack into a glass of water, juice, coffee, tea or a smoothie. Stir briefly — the powder dissolves instantly. Drink at any time of day.

For higher daily fibre intake: two sticks per day provides approximately 66–80% of the Australian RDI for adult fibre.

If new to fibre supplements: start with one stick per day and increase gradually over a week or two. This helps your digestive system adjust and reduces the chance of mild bloating or gas that can occur when fibre intake is increased suddenly.

Drink with adequate water throughout the day. Refer to the product label for full guidance.

Good to Know

Will it change the taste of my drink?

No. Tapioca resistant dextrin is taste-neutral and dissolves clear — it doesn’t add sweetness, thickness or flavour to whatever you mix it into. It’s common to drop a stick into a morning coffee or smoothie without noticing the difference.

How does this compare to psyllium husk?

Psyllium husk is a bulky soluble fibre that thickens water into a gel, with a noticeable grainy texture. Tapioca resistant dextrin is a smooth, fully-soluble fibre that doesn’t thicken or change the texture of beverages. Both are valid fibre sources — the difference is mostly sensory.

Can I take it every day?

Yes. Soluble fibre is a normal component of the diet, and many adults take a fibre supplement daily to help meet the Australian RDI. As with any new supplement, start gradually and pay attention to how your body responds.

Why are stick packs better than a tub?

Pre-portioned stick packs ensure consistent dosage every time, are easy to take to work or travel, and reduce the temptation to overscoop. They also stay fresher than a bulk tub once opened.

Pairs Well With

A soluble fibre supplement is often combined with prebiotic and probiotic products as part of a broader gut-microbiome routine. Soluble fibre acts as a fermentable substrate that beneficial gut bacteria use during their normal metabolic activity — making it a complementary ingredient alongside the more targeted prebiotic and probiotic formulations below.

Layer Origin Akkermansia muciniphila →

A live probiotic strain. Akkermansia muciniphila is a bacterium that uses soluble fibre as a fermentable substrate during its normal metabolic activity in the large intestine — making a daily soluble fibre supplement a logical complementary inclusion.

Layer Origin PureHMO® Powder →

A specialised prebiotic powder containing human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). HMOs selectively feed specific bacteria in the gut microbiome — complementing the broader fermentable substrate provided by general soluble fibre.

Layer Origin SuperHMO® Synbiotic Capsules →

Combines five HMO types with 10 probiotic strains in capsule form. The combination of probiotic bacteria + HMO prebiotics + a daily soluble fibre supplement provides a three-component approach used by many gut-microbiome-focused consumers.

Important Information

This product is a dietary fibre supplement and is not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet rich in whole-food fibre sources (vegetables, fruits, legumes and whole grains).

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Take with adequate water. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Keep out of reach of young children. Use only if the seal is intact.

Increasing fibre intake too quickly may cause temporary digestive discomfort (bloating, gas or changes in bowel habit). Start with one stick per day and increase gradually as your digestive system adjusts.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescription medication, or have a digestive condition (such as IBD, IBS or any condition affecting bowel function), please consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use.
