    Stronger Gut Functions

HMO prebiotics also nourish Akkermansia, a key probiotic bacteria that helps strengthen your gut barriers and keeps toxins out of your body.

    Nutrition Insight

"2’-FL is the most abundant HMO in many mothers and selectively promotes the growth of bifidobacterial strains, while generally known prebiotics promote bacterial growth on a broader level. Bifidobacteria are recognized as beneficial bacteria not only during infancy, but throughout human life. They are protective by lowering inflammation, enhancing gut barrier function and providing fuel for intestinal cells via generating short chain fatty acids"

JOEL GREENE, Author, The Immunity Code

"What you're going to find with HMOs is that they are endemic to the formation of the immune system in the infant gut — and so HMOs have very, very strong presence informing immunity in the gut."

    Integrative Medicine, Book

"Synbiotics are a combination of prebiotics and probiotics that are believed to have a synergistic effect by inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria and enhancing the growth of beneficial organisms"

Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition

"HMOs are not digested but are selectively utilized by certain beneficial gut bacteria, such as Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis (B. infantis) and Bifidobacterium bifidum. In addition to this prebiotic function, HMOs can hinder the adhesion of pathogens to gut epithelial cells, directly affect the maturation and development of gut epithelial cells, and support immune functions"
